About HBS Hospital

HBS Hospital, a division of Shama Charitable Trust, is a legally recognized nonprofit. Shivajinagar is a neighborhood in central Bengaluru, the nation's capital of Karnataka, in south India, that desperately needs medical care. HBS Hospital serves these areas.

One of the few charitable hospitals in Karnataka to have received the NABH certification for quality is the 100-bed multispecialty hospital, which has 100 beds and is accredited by the NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Health Care Providers).

Anjuman-e-Khuddamul Muslimeen, a regional NGO well recognized for philanthropic deeds in Bengaluru, worked tirelessly to construct the hospital structure, which is 40,000 sq ft spread over 5 stories. Currently, the HBS Hospital offers inpatient, daycare, and outpatient services.

HBS Hospital Equipment:

Mentioned below are some of the edge-cutting technologies and equipment offered by HBS Hospital, Bengaluru:

Operating Theatres: 2 OTs work at HBS. The second (commissioned in March 2019) is a modular operating theatre with laminar flow, while the first is utilized for deliveries and secondary procedures. The OT uses several filters, suction action from all four corners to remove inside air, and fresh filtered air to reduce the risk of infection (AIR HANDLING SYSTEM-AHU). This is helpful when doing intricate cardiac surgeries, orthopedic operations, neuro surgeries, surgical oncology procedures, and other high-end surgeries that must be performed in an infection-free zone. IABP and a heart-lung machine are only two examples of the high-end technology in this modular OT.

HBS CT Scan: In a CT scan, cross-sectional images of the human body are produced using computers and rotating X-ray devices. These images offer more precise information than conventional X-rays, such as pictures of blood arteries, soft tissue, and bones. In order to improve diagnosis and treatment, the hospital features a cutting-edge.

GE Revolution CT Scanner with a 32-slice sophisticated imaging system.

High-Resolution Whole Body Scans are among the features of the scan center.

Slice thickness of 0.625 mm for sub-mm imaging

Digital endoscopy with DentaScan

Reconstruction of a multi-planar volume

Contemporary Vessel Analysis

Modulation of Organ Dose

Color-Coded Pediatric Protocols

Colonoscopy Pro3D \sStroke Brain and Peripheral Angiogram with VCAR

XPress Perfusion 4D AutoBone Rendering a Multi Organ 3D Volume

The hospital charges reasonable fees for these CT Scan procedures.

Outpatient Services

Labour ward

ECG & Echo Cardiography

Medical and Surgical ICU: Poor patients who require emergency or acute care as well as their families experience severe financial strain. Many end up either not giving the necessary care or being deeply in debt due to high expenses. The HBS hospital currently features a 23-bed ICU to handle urgent patient demands while maintaining its key ideals of openness, integrity, and cost control. They aim to charge roughly half what other hospitals in the area charge for similar services. Dialysis patients who occasionally experience life-threatening complications and require quick essential interventions can also access life-saving resources in the ICU.

HBS Mobile Clinic: The best way to enhance people's health and lessen the financial burden of healthcare is through preventive care. When problems are detected later, the cost of therapy increases. The poor are particularly impacted by this since they are compelled to use their resources or incur debt in order to pay for medical care.

HBS Mobile Clinic was started in January 2020 in conjunction with numerous field NGO partners, including The Lifeline Foundation, Project Smile, Aasra, Al-Ansaar, HRS, etc. to identify health issues at their earliest stages and enable early solutions. On a monthly basis, the fully outfitted clinic-on-wheels van travels to predetermined places around Bengaluru's slums.

The mobile clinic focuses on providing free medication as well as testing, diagnosing, and treating ailments. Field NGO partners provide logistics support during the camp, food and refreshments, patient recruitment, marketing and publicity about the camp, free medication distribution, and other services. In its initial two months of operation in February and March 2020, this programme has already benefited more than a thousand patients.

Inpatient Services

Stress Test (TMT)

HBS Hospital Bengaluru Founders & Team:

The Managing Trustee of HBS Hospital is Dr. Mohammed Taha Mateen and the Head is Dr. Zafar ul Haq. Their most valuable asset is the 200+ devoted employees, including medical, paramedical, administrative, and support staff, who work nonstop to deliver the best care and treatment possible for patients. Some of their young dialysis patients have jobs at the hospital to help pay for their care and maintain their way of life. There are about 50 visiting consultants who give their expertise in a variety of specialties in addition to the full-time employees.

CSR Activities:

One of the handfuls of hospitals in the city, HBS opened its doors for COVID treatment in July 2020, offering about 90 beds, 34 of which had ventilators. In the first month alone, nearly 200 patients have been released after making a full recovery.

They established a Low-Cost Medical& Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in 2016, and as a result, they were able to cut the cost of ICU care from comparable hospitals by more than half.

Their dialysis fees are among the most affordable in Bengaluru. About 60% of the dialysis they perform is provided without charge to the patients because HBS hospital or other benefactors have totally covered the cost.
...
