About Vadamalayan Hospital

It is only appropriate that the tale of the hospital's journey should begin with a fitting introduction to the glorious work and efforts of Dr. P. Vadamalayan, the founding father and a brilliant innovator.

The company's founder, Dr.P. Vadamalayan, was a remarkable visionary who dedicated his life to serving the public and providing medical care for the residents of Tamil Nadu in the region's south. Beginning in 1930, he commenced his altruistic and devoted medical work with the sole ambition of providing medical aid to the masses. He used "evidence-based medicine" to treat sick people from all around south Tamil Nadu in an ethical, timely, and efficient manner. The community based in and around Madurai during that stretch of the time benefited greatly from a clinic with 10 beds on Palace Road in Madurai and advanced technology, such as a 300 MA X-Ray Machine, which was unheard of at the time.

It was founded with the goal of bringing high-quality blood and its components to patients in need. Only healthy willing donors provide blood for transfusions. When assistance is needed, component-level facilities include providing fresh frozen plasma, platelet concentrate, and cryoprecipitate.

The founder of the hospital, Dr. P. Vadamalayan, served as the inaugural syndicate participant for life when Madurai Kamaraj University was founded as Madurai University. He was chosen by the former chief minister Thiru. C. N. Annadurai. He played a key role in the establishment of Madurai Medical College. He served as the first president of both Jeyaraj Nadar School and SVN College. He assisted in bringing in numerous departments while serving on The American College's management board.
